Who We Treat

Three types of patient.
One standard of care.

Whether you are recovering from injury, building strength to prevent one, or maintaining the function you have worked hard to build — the clinical foundation is the same. Strength is not the recovery. It is the treatment.

Injury & Rehabilitation

You're hurt and want to heal — without surgery.

You have a musculoskeletal injury, spine problem, or are recovering from a procedure. You want a physician who will exhaust every conservative option before sending you to the OR — and build the structural strength that keeps you out of it for good.

  • Back & neck pain, disc pathology, radiculopathy
  • Shoulder, knee, and hip injuries
  • Osteoarthritis and tendinopathy
  • Pre- & post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Athletic injuries — return to full function

Our Approach

Precision over volume.

Most musculoskeletal problems are rooted in weakness. Most medical responses manage the symptom. This practice addresses the cause — and the research behind the method goes back four decades, to the original MedX lumbar and cervical extension trials.

01

CONSERVATIVE FIRST

Every patient is evaluated for the least invasive path. Medications, injections, and surgery exist in the toolkit — they are not the default. The goal is always to solve the problem, not manage it indefinitely.

02

STRENGTH AS MEDICINE

High-intensity, evidence-based strength protocols drawn from decades of clinical research. The same principles that demonstrated 80% success in spine rehabilitation without surgery — applied across the full musculoskeletal spectrum.

03

LONG-TERM STANDARD

The goal is a patient who stays functional for life. Not a discharged case. We track outcomes, reassess, and adjust — because strength maintenance is not a program you finish, it is a standard you hold.

A physician shaped by science, service, and a lineage built in the weight room.

Dr. Fulton did not arrive at strength-based medicine from a textbook. He grew up inside it. His father, Dr. Michael Fulton, served as Medical Director for Nautilus Sports Medical Industries under Arthur Jones — and later conducted the landmark lumbar and cervical extension research at the University of Florida alongside Dr. Michael Pollock. That work established the clinical science behind the MedX machines and demonstrated that spinal surgery could be avoided in more than 80% of cases with the right strength protocol.

The protocols his father helped develop at MedX remain the clinical foundation of this practice. The physician is different. The evidence — and the standard — is the same.

After the Naval Academy and a commission as a special operations officer, Dr. Fulton attended Wake Forest School of Medicine, completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine. He then returned to Volusia County to practice alongside his father for more than 15 years — expanding the program from spine rehabilitation into the full spectrum of musculoskeletal medicine.

His training spans functional medicine, acupuncture, precision medicine, and sports medicine. The thread connecting all of it: the body's capacity to heal is determined by its structural strength, and the physician's role is to build that capacity — not bypass it.
